Based in Los Angeles. Working with technology companies across the U.S.

The PremiseMarketing should make a strong business easier to understand — and easier to choose.
Sometimes the product is better than the story being told about it. Sometimes a company has outgrown its brand. Sometimes there is plenty of marketing activity, but no clear idea tying it together.
That is usually where I come in. I help companies find the clearest, most authentic version of their story, decide who they most need to reach, and build the marketing around it. My background is unusually hands-on for a senior marketing leader: I can develop the strategy, but I can also write the copy, shape the website, direct the video, interview the customer and work with the team that gets it into market.

Positioning & Go-to-Market
For technology companies from startup through midsize that need to clarify what they sell, why it matters and how to take it to market. I find the story that is true to the business and meaningful to the customer—then turn it into positioning, messaging, brand and go-to-market strategy, and the creative work that makes the strategy real.
Growth & Marketing Leadership
Build the marketing engine that turns clarity into demand and measurable growth. I lead—and when it matters, create—the campaigns, product marketing, content and digital acquisition that move complex products into the market, while giving internal teams and outside partners the direction and momentum to do their best work.
For more than two decades, I have helped build brands, launch products and tell the stories behind sophisticated companies and technologies.
My work has included L3Harris, Boeing, GE Healthcare, Honeywell and SureFire, along with mid-sized companies and startups where the marketing function itself still needed to be built.

I build marketing and tell stories that move people—and move businesses forward. Video is often the most potent tool to do both, and I’ve used it throughout my career to launch products, build brands, and create demand. Here are just two of thousands—vastly different in style, scale, audience, and budget.
A documentary video I directed and produced that branded L3Harris on day one after the Harris & L3 Technologies merger.
A guerrilla-budget animated product video that I wrote and directed, which solidified and amplified a premium product line.

I like being close to the work and close to the people doing it. Good marketing rarely comes from a leader working at a distance. It comes from asking good questions, listening carefully, getting the team aligned, caring about the details and then moving.
I also believe people do better work when they enjoy working together. I try to bring high standards without making the process heavy — with candor, humor, collaboration and a real sense of team.
